Friday night, our teenagers and 4 adults gathered at church for a Summer Fun Night – what could be better than shaving cream fights, water balloon fights, pizza, and games?  We had a great time!

Thanks to everyone who helped pull off our biggest ice cream social yet!  We have never run out of ice cream before!  We had a wonderful night and it was only possible because so many of you were willing to serve as volunteers.  What a great night!

Sermon July 29, 2012: Intentional Discipleship

This Sunday, we had a bizarre power outage midway thru the sermon, so the recording is not complete. What is available here is about the last two thirds of the sermon. Pastor Jeff had started the message talking about the recent tragedies – the movie theater shooting in Colorado, the situation in Syria, attacks in Iraq, and the still unfolding story of two local teenagers found dead in Detroit. He went on to say that it’s normal to want answers, to feel angry and frustrated, even with God. In these difficult times, we have two choices: we can retreat (isolate ourselves, hide from life) or we can engage (step into the pain, offer healing). This is about where the recording picks up….
