Today, over 50 folks from Redford Aldersgate, West Outer Drive, Midland First, Christ the King and Birmingham First showed up to do some maintanance and clean up at the new West Outer Drive campus site.  The results were remarkable!  Kitchen, bathrooms, classrooms and the sanctuary were thoroughly cleaned, trees and shrubs were trimmed or taken out, the grass was mowed, window frames were replaced, weeds were pulled and doors were painted.  Lunch was served and new friends were made – what a great day!

This week, some awesome kids spent every morning learning to ring bells and chimes, sing songs, dance and sign.  Kelly Williams, Tiffany Boards, Lynn Hartwig, Chris Love, Jessyca Dwyer and Sherri Crump spent the week with these kids and everyone had a great time!

Work Day July 21

On Saturday July 21, everyone is invited to come and help make some improvements at our new West Outer Drive Campus.  There will be something for everyone to do!  Inside work and outside work – any skills you have will be put to use.

For those interested in carpooling from Redford Aldersgate, there will be a breakfast at 8 am and we can head over to the other campus together.

Sermon July 1, 2012 Whatever it Takes

Today was the launch of our new “One Church in Two Locations” merger with West Outer Drive United Methodist Church in Detroit.  What a wonderful day!  One worship service at West Outer Drive was full of people from both congregations – we had music from all different groups within each church and a blessing of Pastor Frederick and his wife Pamela.

Pastor Jeff’s message began with a long list of people to thank, and a reading of Mark 2:1-12, and ended with a short message from Bill Ritter, Director of the Methodist Union, one of the major funders of this partnership.  You get to hear everything in between….
