This Sunday, July 1, we have just one worship service at our West Outer Drive location, at 11 am.  All are welcome to come and see the building and meet the newest members of our congregation!

Effective July 1, Redford Aldersgate and West Outer Drive will become “One Church in Two Locations” thru an official merger.  Following our time together on July 1, each congregation will resume their normal summer worship schedules with worship at 10 am at Redford Aldersgate and at 11 am at West Outer Drive.

Please plan to attend a special Charge Conference on Sunday June 10 at 1 pm.  We will be serving lunch after church so it’s easy to stick around!

We are taking a crucial vote on our potential partnership with West Outer Drive UMC in Detroit.  In February, our church voted to enter into a conversation with West Outer Drive about creating a merger/adoption that would result in “One Church, Two Locations”.  Both churches voted to enter the conversation at that time.  Since then, Pastor Jeff and a transition team has spent time looking at funding, programming, staffing and building issues.  Much of this information has been presented in a series of handouts that have been available at church for a few weeks.

But now it is time to decide.  Our District Superintendent will be with us.  We need to hear from you and make a decision as a congregation about the future of Redford Aldersgate.  Hope to see you there!
